Morning departure in 4x4 by a good tarred road. We pass by Akjoujt (256 km) and have lunch on the way. We soon leave the road and start our discovery of the erg Amatlich through the village of Graret Levras.
The first palm groves appear in front of us, a spectacle of oases and sand dunes that will soon become familiar to us. First bivouac in a superb setting of large dunes 300 metres high.
We leave Tivoujar in the direction of Toungad, where we visit the palm grove. We then head towards the wadi Lebiad, the White Valley, which we follow until we reach the road that will lead us to Atar. Lunch at the "Auberge des Toiles Maures" then visit the village of Azougui, birthplace of the Almoravids. Continuation to chinguétti by a good track. Night at the Eden hostel.
Early in the morning, we take the track towards Atar and continue on to the oasis of Tergit, with its warm springs and hundred-year-old palm trees. Continue towards Yagref by a good asphalt road and have lunch under the trees. Continuation to Akjoujt then Nouakchott. Dinner and overnight at the hotel halima in double room.
Departure from the city and continuation to Diama, transfer and assistance with the formalities. End of the service on Mauritania and continuation for a night in Saint Louis.
